Working class people from around the world have more in common with each other than they do the elites who rule over them. For too long, the richest and most powerful members of society have engaged us in a perpetual war against the working classes of other countries. It is long past due that we put an end to wars waged for profit, and create a foreign policy based in solidarity with the international working class. As President, I will:
For decades since the Cuban Revolution, the United States has maintained a commercial, economic, and financial embargo on Cuba. This is, and has always been, an act of aggression against the legitimate government of Cuba, which has hurt their economy. In spite of this, the people of Cuba have remained resilient in the face of adversity, and have developed impressive education and healthcare systems. It is time that we end the embargo, restore diplomatic relations with Cuba, and respect their sovereignty.
Every year, the American people spend billions of dollars subsidizing Apartheid Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestine. Apartheid Israel denies Palestinians freedom of movement, suppresses freedom of speech and assembly, and bulldozes Palestinian homes to build illegal Israeli settlements. Israel uses Palestine as a testing grounds for all of their newest technologies and techniques to control and oppress Palestinians, which ultimately get exported to militaries and police departments across the world.
Meanwhile, America has allowed Israel to violate international law with impunity, offering them money and protection from UN Condemnation every step of the way. History will condemn us if we do not drastically change course. We must put an end to our monetary support for Israeli apartheid, and we must recognize the sovereignty of the State of Palestine. In addition, I support the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement against Israel and I support the creation of a unified, secular, democratic state in the region.
For years, the wealthiest Americans have been able to avoid going to war if they don’t want to. Our current President is just one example of this. We should extend this same freedom to the working class, who have always bore the brunt of the hardship during times of war. Under no circumstance should the working class be forced to spill each other's blood, as the wealthy capitalists evade the consequences of their wars.
Defense contractors have a profit motive to keep our country at war, and they have billions of dollars to use to influence our government. This is a deadly combination, and it will not cease so long as our largest weapons manufacturers are privately owned. We must bring these companies into public control, in order to put an end to our for-profit war machine.
As President, I will cooperate with the United Nations, International Criminal Court and The Hague to hold to account the war criminals who have continuously lied this country into wars to kill poor people in other countries. I will appoint a Special Prosecutor to investigate and charge all war criminals, past and present.
After nationalizing the military industrial complex, we will turn them into infrastructure companies designed to rebuild the middle east and Africa. Everything from bridges to schools and homes.
We have hundreds of military bases all over the world. It's time to close them all, and withdraw our troops from every region they are occupying. We will suspend the visas of all IDF troops in the United States (get out).
On day one, I will suspend all foreign aid to the right wing terrorist government of Columbia, Brazil, and exit all arms deals with apartheid Saudi Arabia.
I will direct the Office of Management & Budget to slash the military budget in half for the fiscal year, and reduce it by 15% every year until it reaches a minimal of $200b.
As President, I will increase U.S. funding to the United Nations by providing $6b a year for operations.
